Campus Computing ID (CCID)
Your Campus Computing ID (or CCID) is a unique identification that provides a secure gateway to University services. There are currently over 120,000 Campus Computing IDs and passwords, making AICT one of the largest educational computing and Internet service providers in the nation.
AICT automatically e-mails a CCID and password to applicants after their application has been successfully submitted, usually within 2 business days. Applicants who submit hard copy applications for admission will have a CCID and password e-mailed to them within 2 business days of the application being entered on to the University's student administration system.
Your CCID gives you access to a number of services vital to life on campus including:
- A University email address and a secure e-mail account, accessible via standard email programs or uAlberta Google Apps.
- 1 GB of personal disk space on the University's central AFS Storage Space
- Access to your courses via eClass
- Website support services, access to newsgroups and mailing lists.
- Printing services that give you access to large-scale color printers for production of teaching aids and posters.
- Access to data backup and recovery facilities for workstations connected to the campus backbone network.
